The Way Award-Winning Speaker Kiaundra Jordan helps emerging speakers thrive

When the Los Angeles-based Kiaundra Jackson received the honor of being the prestigious title of speaker, she wanted to inspire others to do exactly the same.

The journey to her debut appearance on stages didn't happen over night. Jackson describes herself as coming from "humble beginnings," and had a dirty family home located in Compton, California. "I had a number of experiences of domestic violence, and I was aware that I was required to move to help others, especially people of color," she says.

To do this, she obtained a license as a counselor for families and marriages. With the intention of starting her own private practice in Los Angeles, she took an unintentional leap of faith, leaving her position as an agency worker in 2017. "I didn't have any money to spare, and so I trusted my gut feelings," she says.

In order to promote her company, she posted content on social media, primarily through her Instagram account. The following grew quickly and she realized that she was a fan of being on camera and speaking about positive mental and emotional well-being and positive relationships. "A lot of people started asking if I could talk about their events and if I could be interviewed on their podcast," she explains.

Her name was soon recognized when a large number of professionals in the field of therapists began asking how she was landing speaking engagements, being featured on TV, and being mentioned in news articles. She decided to start teaching the public everything she had learned about being a well-known and well-known speaker using online training courses.

"Courses are an effective device," Jackson tells , "especially when you've developed an online presence and you want people to get to know their site's content in different ways."

As a certified psychotherapist, Jackson is also a prize-winning public television personality speaking, author, and speaker in addition to an online course developer. Jackson offers six classes online to help new public speakers. Although each varies in topic but her primary goal is helping people find their expertise and craft the perfect keynote presentation. "There are so many great sources that I've accumulated over the years, which is why I'm now able provide my experience to those who want to learn," she says.

Teaching online allows Jackson extend her reach to the maximum extent is possible. "There is a subset of people that will not be capable to reach on a personal level," she says. "Having the capability to cover larger areas and to connect with larger groups of people is vital for me. ."

The instructor chose to teach the course "because it's very easy."

"It did make a lot more sense." she continues. "I needed a platform that offered a user-friendly interface and drag-and-drop functionality. I did not want to hire someone to design courses for me. I wanted to design the course on my own by recording the contents in a digital format, publishing it online and placing a price to it. Then, I could consider selling it. ."

Furthermore, she states her students that she interacts with have a positive opinion of how easy it is to use. "It's an amazing experience for both the designer and the end user," she explains.

     She offers low-cost alternatives    

Jackson is a firm believer in providing accessible costs. Jackson claims that she was on not a budget-friendly time when she was growing up, so she recognizes that it is important to make things affordable. Furthermore, when she first beginning her professional profession was not having much funds saved. At that time, she would tap into any affordable program that could be offered by other instructors. She would like to assist others to do similar things to what she has accomplished by making her program accessible and affordable.

Most of her classes are priced between $29 and $97 USD. Although she has higher priced options, like her Get Your C.O.I.N.S Bundle, which costs $497 as well in the more expensive C.O.I.N Crew Academy, which is a six-month expensive program intended for students who are young and new speaker, her classes are in the price range of less expensive.      She focuses on the people she wants to reach    

If the issue is the price, Jackson believes that there are no correct or incorrect way to price your course but the key is to determine which option is best to appeal to your intended audience. "If you're serving a small income group, it's best not to put prices that are too high because customers won't be able to afford the items," she explains.

"You should consider who your target audience is and how much they make. You need to know all of the information about the demographics of the those you'd like to connect with as it can help you ."

For Jackson her followers consist of psychotherapists mostly women aged 35 to 45 who follow her on social media and seek to benefit lessons from her expertise and knowledge. They are mostly located in the US However, some reside in different countries.

     She designs content based on what the audience is looking for.    

Understanding your audience help creators to price their courses. It helps them determine the best type of courses to design.

"I make content on the basis of the most frequently asked queries by my Instagram users. When I produce content that is based on what followers actually want, it's highly successful ."

In fact, she says that this is the single most crucial factor that has led to her accomplishments. "I've developed courses that I believed people would like, however, they did not do extremely well due to the fact that they were developed from a selfish perspective being a conviction that they were doing exactly what was needed."

The process of making material for Jackson is easy. She draws up an outline of what she will discuss (based on feedback from the fans she has), sets up her camera and lighting, creates videos, and edits them before uploading the videos onto . "You may not believe it right now, but I manage everything by myself," she shares. "Eventually I'll require help. It's almost like my baby girl. In situations where something shares a personal connection to your life, you're obligated to take care of it in your way. ."

After each class, students receive an evaluation survey which asks them which aspects of the lesson worked the best and which did not as well, as well as what topics they would like Jackson to talk about further. It helps her constantly enhance her material and to best provide her students with the information they need.

     She speaks the language spoken by her audience's target. the people they are targeting.    

Understanding the audience of a creator will also help make marketing more specific, since it lets creators communicate with their audience through their own languages. "Your words should resonate with the audience, so they feel that you're talking with the correct people," she explains.

For Jackson the social media platform is the main way she promotes her digital offerings. "In my beginnings I didn't intend to market my classes," she explains. "People might just read my blog and DM me for more information ."

She's a big fan of using Instagram stories to market her courses, particularly because stories permit creators to include hyperlinks. Additionally, she enjoys creating reels. "Instead of uploading just images and inviting customers to pay for the program, I prefer to make something different fun, interesting, humorous and maybe even a bit of me in conversation," she explains.

Additionally, she posts regularly YouTube videos to her channel, which cover all things about relationships as well as the state of mental health.

     She is working to enhance her mental health.    

If asked what tips she would give instructors on how they can market their courses via social media, she replies, "be like Nike and just go for it ."

"I think sometimes we become a bit naive and are concerned that other people won't be interested to make a purchase," continues Jackson. "Or you're worried that we're too aggressive or do not have enough marketing ."

If you're just beginning your journey and don't know what to do, Jackson advises that they overcome their imposter syndrome as well as fears. "We live in an information age, which is why Google is our most trusted friend," she says.

"Typically, the uncertainty of where to start isn't the concern; it's the anxiety that's not been recognized."

Many individuals believe they and their work aren't enough. For Jackson this was apparent in her thinking about the money. Jackson was forced to release her belief that she wasn't enough, or that others shouldn't spend her money. "People are always willing to pay for things if they see benefit of doing so," she explains.

"If your expertise is any field, be it from your studies or from personal experience I'm convinced that you have all the knowledge the world needs in you," Jackson adds. "The world is just waiting for you to impart your expertise, knowledge along with your personal experiences in a manner that is easy for others to digest. ."

     Her class content freely available    

Jackson permits her customers who pay for her courses to access her courses for as long as they wish. "I believe that , at times it is necessary to consume information at different intervals," she says. "Personally I've purchased courses over one year ago that I've not yet explored, but I know I'll eventually ."

In order to help students be accountable, they get an award of accomplishment following the completion of every class. Instructors say that their students love this choice, and frequently send her images of themselves wearing their certificates. "Even even something as simple as an online certificate could give people motivation to consume and apply the material," she adds.

The students also are enticed by offering one-on-one public speaking coach. She says it can help students apply the knowledge they've acquired. Furthermore, when they've finished the class, a lot of students enroll in her subsequent course.

     She is a part of the community    

To enhance the exposure of the classes that she offers, she has created advertisements for social media sites. It is a community made up by people of color that want to step to the next level. "There is a lot of people of Black Speakers Rock!," she says. "Typically I promote my resources and courses to them as they're the ones who are looking to take advantage of my offerings. ."

With the exception of the Black Speakers Rock! page, she does not have separate communities to her course. She claims, however, that her social profiles appear as a community that covers every aspect. That includes her Instagram as well as Facebook accounts.

     She appears to be the real person she is.    

The biggest tip Jackson has for web-based creators is to develop their unique. "There are so many people trying to mimic other people however you don't have to be a follower," she advises.

"You're unique for a reason, and I'd like to help you focus into your individuality. If you're a particular type of personality - funny and quirky, funny, or whatever it is you are - let it shine. ."

The designer is reminded that the bulk of the process of making online courses is taking tests and learning at the beginning. This is the same for finding your authentic self. "I think that the success of a person depends on consistency and perseverance and presenting yourself as yourself rather than pretending to be something that you're not," she adds.

"No whatever you're doing or the way you dress, there's an group of people who be awestruck by you the same way as you do," continues Jackson. "Remember that you're unique to your own reasons, and that the information that you produce through online classes can impact the lives of other people ."
