  • Sweet Selfies The members post photos at the end of every workout, expressing their motivation and encouraging other members to do the same.
  • Alpha Meal Posts: Members share photos of their meals, breaking them into macro parts for accountability, and to educate the community.
  • Birthday burpees: On their birthdays, the members record themselves performing burpees that correspond to their age. It's challenging and fun and can be a source of celebration within the local community.

How can you implement such common rituals with your group participants?

  • Create easy-to-follow prompts or hashtags to promote participants.
  • Make sure to include these steps in your onboarding materials to set expectations starting from the very beginning.

2. "Identity Crafting" Technique

The art of understanding your market's target customers is more than just knowing their demographics; it's the ability to understand their wants goals, challenges, and hopes. People don't just need to purchase a item or a service. They want to belong to something greater.

If you can create a distinct and strong brand for your community you can give members the sense of belonging and satisfaction in the person they are becoming as a result of your program.

  • Milestones Set up signs throughout the journey to mark the progress made (for example, the Milestone T-shirts, which participants of Over 40 Alpha Over 40 Alpha program earn each time they complete the "One Year To Alpha" journey).
  • Rewards Rewards for achievements inspire the next step.
  • Community support ensure that everyone walks along this road without support by encouraging a sense of support and encouragement.

What can you do to implement this model for your staff members:

  • Create a clear and step-by-step plan for a member's transformation.
  • Set up meaningful milestones which are recognized with reward points.
  • Ensure continuous community support through regular check-ins, group activities, and encouragement.

Implementing a framework for transformation provides a reason to participants to remain. They are always moving toward an agreed-upon goal, that is rewarded with tangible results.
