If you don't have a theme or plugin which can manage ads, you'll want to set up the plugin. Several free and premium plugins allow for dynamic ad placement. My favorite, and the one we use with a is AdSanity.

For the example that I've included in this article, I'm using my second favorite ad management plugin, Advanced Ads.

Using Rules to Remove Ads for Members

After you've been the software installed and set up now, you're ready to set up your ad-free rule. In the admin panel, go to -> Rules, and then create a new rule. Make use of the Partial rule type in this.

In my sandbox I've got two membership levels named Premium and Executive. The rule I've set up is to limit the content I offer my Executive members. I'm planning to block ads from people who have joined the Executive membership.

In the screenshot above there are examples of shortcodes for displaying or block content according to this rule. We'll start with.

Utilizing a shortcode to hide ads on WordPress

The majority of the well-known Ad Management plugins allow you to deliver ads with shortcodes. In this example I'm employing the paid plugin Advanced Ads..

This method works with our preferred software, AdSanity, as well as virtually any other advertising management software.

You can add a protected block within a blog post, webpage, course and/or lesson or an element in a widget. The AdSanity plugin permits you to insert an ad or group of ads into the widget.

In order to block ads within a widget, first create a block that is protected to the widget. This is how you would use Divi.

In the WordPress Admin Menu Navigate to Divi->Theme Customizer. Then select Widgets Then Sidebar.

Once you have added the secured block, just set it up to refer to the rule you want to reference. Be sure to choose an option that allows you to hide information from the members that are in the rule.

The next step is to drop your advertisement or group in the block that is protected. Then be sure to save your configuration, and then test it!
